Three positive things that happened to the climate in 2023

There's the climate crisis, this is over. Now the solutions are starting to take up more space and are technically and economically possible," says BjerStröm.

Heat records, record temperatures in the world's oceans and the warmest month on record. 2023 was marked by climate records. "But towards the end of the year, I began to feel a sense of hope that I had never felt before," says Erika Bjerström, SVT's climate correspondent.

Cheaper renewable energy

One positive piece of climate news from the year is that the price of renewable energy has fallen by 80 percent, according to Bjerström.

"In 2023, we see a complete revolution when it comes to renewables.
