A woman who was the victim of an episode of domestic violence in Los Angeles (USA) has been shot dead by one of the officers who went to the home after the call to the police to report the violent episode.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has released footage showing the deputy shooting the 27-year-old woman, accompanied by her 9-year-old daughter. The footage has been recorded through a body camera carried by the police officer.
In the video, the officer, Ty Shelton, can be seen shooting Niani Finlayson, the murdered woman, within four seconds of entering the home. In the call made by the victim to the police, you can also hear "He doesn't want to leave my house... It won't leave me alone... I need the police here right now," apparently referring to the attacker, her ex-partner.
