Polish servicemen did not find traces of a missile that flew into the territory of the republic from Ukraine, the Operational Command of the country's Armed Forces said.


According to the command, the inspection of the territory was completed at 15:00 (17:00 Moscow time), in which almost 500 soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces participated.

"The search result is negative. Nothing was found that could threaten the safety of the residents of the Lublin Voivodeship," RIA Novosti quoted the command as saying.

The military does not plan further on-site checks.

Earlier, the operational commander of the Polish Armed Forces, General Maciej Klish, said that Polish fighters did not have time to shoot down a missile that flew from Ukraine.
