The airspace of Syria was violated four times during the day by the aircraft of the international coalition led by the United States. This was announced by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides (CPVS), Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.


"In the Al-Tanf area, four violations were recorded during the day by a pair of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft and two MQ-1C multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicles of the coalition," he said.

It is emphasised that such actions continue to create dangerous prerequisites for aviation incidents and accidents, as well as aggravate the situation in Syrian airspace.

Also during the day, the coalition recorded two cases of violation of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019, related to unmanned aerial vehicle flights not coordinated with the Russian side.

Earlier, Kulit said that the US-led aviation had intruded into Syrian airspace 12 times.
