The ROC stopped funding neutral Russian athletes

The IOC has decided to continue to fund Russian athletes who have qualified for the Games.

President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Stanislav Pozdnyakov said that the organization had stopped funding neutral Russian athletes.


"Among those athletes who will receive payments from the ROC, there will be no those who have agreed to a neutral status. We have completely stopped funding neutralized athletes," said the head of the organization, Stanislav Pozdnyakov.

On December 8, it became known that the IOC allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Olympics in a neutral status. Those who have qualified in their sports will get to the Games. At the same time, athletes will not be allowed to participate in tournaments in team competitions.

Russian symbols will be banned in any form at official venues and events.
