It was in the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday that Chelsea player Lauren James came into focus. The star stamped Lia Wälti after a whistle and received hefty criticism.

After the incident, the criticism has turned to hate on social media, where the midfielder has had to endure several offensive and discriminatory comments. This has meant that the big club now chooses to make a mark.
"We will take action"
"The club strongly distances itself from all forms of abuse and discriminatory behaviour. Discrimination has no place at Chelsea Football Club or anywhere in society," Chelsea said in a statement.
"We will take action against any individual that we can identify. We stand with you, Lauren."
Chelsea top the Women's Super League after nine rounds on 22 points, the same number as table runners-up Arsenal who have a worse goal difference.
