The Kazakh sprint men were not allowed to start in Östersund. The reason was that their skis were too late for the fluoride test. "The athletes thought 'where are our skis'? They were ready to start, says waxer Victor Kislyakov to SVT Sport.

The Kazakh team worked on their skis for so long that they were about five minutes late for the fluoride test before the race. As a result, their riders were stopped.

"We're sorry. It's an experience, but a bad experience for our waxers," Kislyakov said.

Head coach Alexander Batyaikin explains the incident.

"It was stressful. We don't have such a big waxing team. But today we made a mistake.

What did the activists think about this?

"Of course, they're not so happy. Everyone on the team was stressed. But it's a new race tomorrow and we'll learn from this and try to do everything right.
