Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA or nuclear deal) is losing relevance with the passage of time.

The words of the diplomat are quoted by the ISNA agency.

According to him, at the moment, Iran is not on the way to signing an agreement on the JCPOA, since Tehran's red lines have not been taken into account by a number of countries.

At the same time, Abdollahian stressed that this does not mean that the signing of the nuclear deal should be postponed.

"However, the more time passes, the less relevant the nuclear deal becomes," he said.

Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said that the "European Troika" and the United States were blocking efforts to restore the JCPOA on the Iranian nuclear program.
