Emma Ribom pays tribute to her boyfriend after the victory: "I almost shed a tear of joy"

The race was Ribom's second sprint win of the season.

Emma Ribom won the sprint in Östersund. But after the race, she was almost as happy for her boyfriend JC Schoonmaker, who came third. "It's almost like a tear of joy flows," she told SVT Sport.

"I'm super happy. I don't believe it has happened. It feels incredible, says Schoonmaker and goes on to praise Ribom:

"She's incredible. She's having a great day and an incredible year.

Ribom is hoping for a big celebration tonight.

"I don't really know how we're going to celebrate, but I think we're going to go big.

Johannes Hösflot Kläbo won ahead of Erik Valnes and Schoonmaker.
