Armenia and Azerbaijan exchange detained servicemen

Highlights: Armenia and Azerbaijan exchange detained servicemen. Baku released 32 Armenian servicemen, Yerevan released two Azerbaijani soldiers. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said earlier that Azerbaijan does not want a war with Armenia, there should be guarantees in this regard. On December 5, the normalization of relations between Yereva and Baku was the topic of talks between the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan.

As a gesture of goodwill, Armenia and Azerbaijan released prisoners of war from each of the republics: Baku released 32 Armenian servicemen, Yerevan released two Azerbaijani soldiers.


According to Sputnik Armenia, this is stated in a joint statement by the offices of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan.
