Passengers on an express train had to wait in a tunnel in Belgium for around three hours. The ICE 317 coming from Brussels had to stop on Sunday evening due to technical difficulties, said a spokesman for the Belgian railway company SNCB. The train, which was actually on its way to Frankfurt am Main, stopped at around 18 p.m. in the Soumagne tunnel.

Passengers reported hours of sitting and waiting on a cold train. Around 21 p.m., the ICE was pulled to the Belgian city of Liège, the SNCB spokesman said. So far, he has not given more detailed information about the cause of the stop, which lasted several hours.
