The British Oxford University Press has named the English word of the year and it is "rizz" – an abbreviation for charisma, popularized by a Buzzfeed interview with actor Tom Holland.

Rizz is described as style, charm or attractiveness and the ability to attract or attract a potential partner.

Oxford writes that they chose "rizz" because it is a word that shows how language can be formed in smaller clusters, for example in social media, before it appears in society.

"Rizz" reached many when a Buzzfeed interview in which Spiderman actor Tom Holland assures that he has no "rizz" went viral.
