Walter Wallberg asks biggest rival for tips: "Be curious"

Walter Wallberg's biggest rival is Mikael Kingsbury. Still, the reigning Olympic champion from Sweden gets in touch with Kingsbury for tips. "I was curious and had to ask," says the Swedish moguls star.

In 2022, Walter Wallberg won Olympic gold in moguls ahead of Canadian Mikael Kingsbury. And earlier this year, Kingsbury won ahead of Wallberg at the World Championships in Georgia in parallel moguls.

They are top competitors but still have a good relationship outside of the World Cup and the Championships.

"We've spent a lot of time together. It's just fun so you can share some tips and stuff and discuss a bit before the competitions.

This weekend is the season premiere in the World Cup in Ruka. Next week (7-9 December) Wallberg will compete at home in Idre.

Last season, Wallberg took one victory, two second places and three third places in the World Cup. And at the World Championships in Georgia, he won a silver and a bronze medal.
