TT slims down cultural coverage

The culture editorial office is cut in half when the news agency reorganizes.


The news agency TT is going to slim down, writes the newspaper Journalisten. According to the proposal, 22 positions, of which 18 are editorial positions, will be eliminated from Gothenburg and Malmö. The cultural editorial staff is halved and this affects many local newspapers that have relied on material from TT to cope with the breadth of their cultural coverage.

Kulturnyheter has unsuccessfully tried to contact TT's CEO Per Anders Broberg for a comment. He confirms to the newspaper Journalisten that there are ongoing negotiations on a reorganization that affects services in the newsroom, but he does not want to comment on the details of the proposal.
