Highlights: Alliance parties put forward proposals to get more staff to Skellefteå. Proposals include guaranteeing jobs for those who deliver food to the elderly. The proposals are to be discussed at a meeting of the Alliance parties on Wednesday. The Alliance parties are the Moderates, the Liberals, the Center Party and the Christian Democrats. The meeting will take place in the city hall of Skeltefjord, Sweden, at 10am on Wednesday, February 6th and 13th, 2015.

Guaranteed jobs for those who study the health and social care programme, and EPA youths who deliver food to the elderly. These are some of the proposals that the Alliance parties are now jointly putting forward to get more staff to the care in Skellefteå. "We want to show decisiveness with some concrete proposals," said Per Boström, group leader of the Christian Democrats.

Skellefteå Municipality, in competition with the large industrial establishments, has found it increasingly difficult to get staff to the care sector.

On Tuesday, the Alliance parties – the Moderates, the Liberals, the Center Party and the Christian Democrats – presented three joint motions that they believe will strengthen the supply of personnel.

"We hear, for example, about nurses delivering food, that's not how it should be," said Per Boström, group leader of the Christian Democrats.

The proposals include procuring tasks that are not care-related. Enlisting EPA youth to work with the elderly.

And to guarantee students who study the health and social care programme a job after their studies.

Municipal commissioner Lorents Burman (S) says that he will take a position on the motions when they are discussed before the council.
