SONNA: 25 thousand tons of grain from Russia arrived in Somalia

Somalia has received a shipment of grain weighing 25,<> tons from Russia as humanitarian aid, Somalia's national news agency SONNA said.


The publication emphasizes that the batch of grain will help provide the necessary assistance to communities that have suffered from floods.

The grain handover ceremony was attended by officials of the republic: Interior Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiki, Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport Abdullahi Ahmed Ilka-Jir, as well as Russian Ambassador to Djibouti and Somalia Mikhail Golovanov.

The Somali authorities expressed gratitude to Russia for its help.
