Norway's ugliest house named

Highlights: Norway's ugliest house named. Hotel Moxy in Tromsø. Some other buildings that have been nominated are Vertikal Nydalen in Oslo for its balconies. In third place was Oldsløkka School in Oslo. Also Kronstad X in Bergen.The Norwegian Architects' Rebellion is behind this, corresponding to the Swedish "Kasper Turkey" Prize.Saher Sorouri, spokesperson for the Architecture Rebellion, told NRK that much of what is being built today is of "terribly low quality just ugly".

Hotel Moxy in Tromsø has been named the ugliest Norwegian new building of the year by the Norwegian Architects' Rebellion.


Some other buildings that have been nominated are Vertikal Nydalen in Oslo for its balconies. In third place was Oldsløkka School in Oslo. Also Kronstad X in Bergen.

The Norwegian Architects' Rebellion is behind this, corresponding to the Swedish "Kasper Turkey" Prize.

Saher Sorouri, spokesperson for the Architecture Rebellion, told NRK that much of what is being built today is of "terribly low quality. just ugly".

The Architects' Rebellion also gave an honorary prize to the most beautiful new building, which went to Nedre Slottsgatan 10 in Oslo, which is built in a classical style and blends in next to the older buildings.
