Highlights: The State Duma adopted a bill enshrining the principle of "take or pay" for long-term gas supplies. This will affect consumers who put into operation new industrial facilities. The bill also includes the powers of the Russian authorities to approve the rules for technological connection to main gas pipelines. The third reading of the bill will take place on November 29, according to the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers. The fine for non-admission of gas workers to the production facilities will be increased to 10,000 rubles.

Deputies of the State Duma in the second reading adopted a bill enshrining the principle of "take or pay" for long-term gas supplies to Russian industrial consumers.


This will affect consumers who put into operation new industrial facilities engaged in the production of products, as well as the generation of heat and electricity, RIA Novosti reports.

In addition, the draft law refers to the powers of the Russian authorities to approve the rules for technological connection to main gas pipelines.

The third reading of the bill will take place on November 29.

Earlier, the newspaper Izvestia, citing a copy of the official response of the Cabinet of Ministers to the relevant bill, reported that the Russian government plans to increase the fine for non-admission of gas workers to the apartment to 10 thousand rubles.
