The alarm company Everon has been heavily criticized for their safety alarms not living up to the promised range. But after a meeting in Blekinge today, they have promised improvement, and now Karlshamn continues to roll out the alarms.
The company promises a range of 50-250 meters and that the alarms can be used anywhere in the home and garden. But tests showed that the range barely reached 40 meters.
On Tuesday, municipal representatives and Everon had a meeting in Karlshamn to discuss the problem.
"It was a rewarding meeting. We have received a good response from the company that the problem will be solved, says Magnus Wickenberg, alarm manager in Karlshamn municipality.
Karlshamn is the only municipality in the county that has chosen to wait for the roll-out of the new alarms. But now the work is resuming.
