A resident of the Pskov region, whose three children were found dead, was taken into custody and charged with murder, the Investigative Committee of Russia said in a statement.

It is noted that the woman is accused of a crime under para. "a", "c", "e", "k" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Murder").

According to the investigation, from August to November of this year, while staying in an apartment in the city of Velikiye Luki, she killed her sons by strangulation.

The woman left the bodies of the children in the apartment, and with two other children moved to a private house in one of the villages of the Kuninsky district of the Pskov region, where she killed her daughter.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Pskov region, Natalia Sokolova, said that a family from the city of Velikiye Luki, in which the mother is suspected of killing three young children, was already registered with the guardianship authorities.
