The CSTO approved the new structure of the Joint Command of the Peacekeeping Forces

Highlights: The heads of the ministries of defense of the CSTO member states have approved the new structure of the Joint Command of the Peacekeeping Forces. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus. In addition, recommendations were agreed on ensuring communication in the groups of Troops, as well as on the procedure for the transfer of material resources between contingents of the Troops. Earlier it was reported that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Minsk for a meeting of the Councils of Foreign Ministers and Defense Ministers.

The heads of the ministries of defense of the CSTO member states approved the initiative to improve the composition of military contingents and formations of special forces of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the association.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, published on Telegram.

"A new structure of the Joint Command of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, a list of training grounds and training centers allocated by the CSTO member states to ensure the formation, training and coordination of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces were approved," the ministry wrote.

In addition, recommendations were agreed on ensuring communication in the groups of Troops, as well as on the procedure for the transfer of material resources between contingents of the Troops.

Earlier it was reported that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Minsk to participate in a meeting of the Councils of Foreign Ministers and Defense Ministers of the CSTO countries.
