Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in the Archer artillery system on Swedish soil. Now they have reached their goal and the soldiers have returned to the war. "It's been an intense period," the commander of Boden's Artillery Regiment A8 sums up the training effort.

In January, the government announced that Sweden would send the sought-after Archer artillery system to Ukraine.

Today, ten months later, the Swedish training for Ukrainian soldiers and mechanics has been completed – and it has gone fast.

"Under the conditions we have had, I think we have achieved a good result," says Stephan Sjöberg, commander of the Boden Artillery Regiment.

Busy time for those involved

For the regiments that have been affected, it is an intense period that is now behind them.

"We have balanced the important support to Ukraine against the readiness that we are recommended to maintain, and that regular training of conscripts also continues," says Stephan Sjöberg.
