The Swedish premiere in cross-country skiing will be broadcast on SVT starting on Friday, March 16, at 9pm local time (9pm GMT) and 11pm local (11pm BST) in Beitostölen, Norway. This weekend is the season premiere for cross-country skiing. Then Ingvild Flugstad Östberg is forced to sit out due to a failed health test. "Unfortunately, Ingvild does not meet the conditions that form the basis for an approved health certificate," says Norwegian national team doctor Ove Feragen.


There will be no season premiere in Beitostölen for Ingvild Flugstad Östberg.

The Norwegian was stopped because she did not get an approved health certificate.

"I set high standards for myself and am constantly looking for development to be able to fight for the best placements and medals, while at the same time taking care of my own health. I have put in a tremendous amount of work, with good support around me, but today unfortunately not all parameters are good enough to get an approved health certificate.

"The balance between exercise and diet has not been good enough," Östberg said in a statement.

The 33-year-old has been stopped several times in the past because she did not meet the national team's health requirements.
