Highlights: The County of Hörning in Sweden has been hit by an oil spill. The spill is the result of an illegal oil spill in the area. The County is now investigating the cause of the leak. The Coast Guard is also looking into the matter. The incident is being investigated by the County's Department of Public Health and Social Security. It is the first time the Coast Guard has been involved in this type of incident in the history of the County. The leak is believed to have come from an oil well in Hörling.

After the ferry accident and the subsequent oil spill in Pukavik Bay, the County Administrative Board of Blekinge has now filed a charge against the shipping company TT-Line for environmental crimes.

After the passenger ferry Marco Polo ran aground outside Hörvik in Pukavik Bay, around 150,000 litres of oil are believed to have leaked into the sea.

The County Administrative Board of Blekinge is now submitting a criminal complaint to the police against the shipping company TT-Line.

As a county administrative board, it is our duty to report environmental crimes under the Environmental Code. The oil spill causes great damage to animals, nature and the environment in Blekinge's sensitive nature reserves and fragile shore protection areas and we therefore want the matter to be tried legally, says Margaretha Lewenhagen, General Counsel at the County Administrative Board.

The incident is already being investigated by the Coast Guard and prosecutors as a suspected environmental crime.
