Biden's public approval rating has stabilized at less than 50% since August 2021, and this November's rate is close to the lowest level in his presidency, reaching 36% in mid-2022.

Biden is likely to compete again in November with former President Donald Trump, who is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

Other recent polls have suggested a close race between Biden and Trump is likely.

Economy and conflict

The percentage of respondents who said "war and foreign conflicts" was the number one problem rose from 4% last October to 8% in November, a sign of unease about the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

20% of respondents said the economy was their biggest concern, with 9% citing crime and 7% citing the environment as their top concern.

A poll published by the New York Times on Sunday showed that the Republican frontrunner in the upcoming presidential election is Trump, who leads Biden in 5 out of 6 major states.

The Ipsos and Reuters poll collected online responses from 1019,<> people, using a representative sample of the community.
