Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in an interview with Italy's Rai1 TV channel that the conflict in the Middle East could "flare up" if Israel continues fighting against the population of the Gaza Strip.


"The expansion of the war will be inevitable if Israel continues its attacks against the civilian population of Gaza," the diplomat said.

According to him, there are other resistance forces in Lebanon and Yemen that can step up their actions.

At the same time, Abdollahian added that Italy should put pressure on the United States, which controls Israel's military power, to achieve an immediate ceasefire.
