Due to the strong wind on Sunday, the ferry Marco Polo, which ran aground outside Hörvik last Sunday, has slipped off the shoal it was standing on.
It is the wind that caused the ferry to drift off the shoal, both the Swedish Maritime Administration and the Coast Guard confirm.
"This is exactly what we didn't want to happen, but we're well prepared for this. We are now evacuating the crew on board, says Pernilla Johansson, communications officer at the Coast Guard.
Two tugboats are in the area to stabilize the ferry.
