Federal Air Transport Agency: Pobeda and Red Wings flights to Makhachkala postponed

Highlights: Federal Air Transport Agency (FATA) has postponed flights to Moscow. FATA has also postponed flights from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow, and from Nzhnevogorsk to Moscow on the Red Sea. FTA is also postponing flights from the U.S. to Russia, including flights from New York City to Moscow and from San Francisco to San Francisco. FATA is also delaying flights from South Korea to the United States, which are scheduled to take off and land in the next few days.

Until the situation at the Makhachkala airport normalizes, flights of Pobeda and Red Wings airlines to Moscow and Surgut are postponed, the Federal Air Transport Agency said.


It is indicated that several departure flights were postponed, including WZ 246 AK Red Wings to Moscow (Zhukovsky Airport), DP 1192 AK Pobeda to Moscow (Vnukovo); DP 501 AK "Pobeda" in Surgut.

In addition, flights from Nizhnevartovsk and Moscow were diverted to other airports.

"The Red Wings flight (WZ 1918) on the route Nizhnevartovsk-Makhachkala was directed to Mineralnye Vody; The Pobeda Airlines flight (DP 199) on the Moscow (Vnukovo)-Makhachkala route was directed to Vladikavkaz," the statement said.

Earlier it was reported that the Makhachkala airport was temporarily closed to serve flights on arrival and departure.
