Central Military Operations Center: F-15 and F-16 fighter jets attacked airports in Damascus and Aleppo

Highlights: Three F-15 fighters and four F-16s of the Israeli Air Force struck the Syrian airfields of al-Nairab in Aleppo and Duvali in Damascus. This was announced by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic. As a result of the airstrikes, runways were partially damaged, and the functioning of airports was disrupted. Earlier, the Syrian Ministry of Transport reported that after strikes on airports in Damascus and Aleppo, flights were transferred to the international airport in Latakia.

This was announced by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic (CPVS), Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.

"Three F-15 tactical fighters and four F-16 tactical fighters of the Israeli Air Force from the Mediterranean Sea without entering Syrian airspace struck the infrastructure of the airports of Duvali (Damascus) and al-Nairab (Aleppo)," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

As a result of the airstrikes, runways were partially damaged, and the functioning of airports was disrupted.

Earlier, the Syrian Ministry of Transport reported that after Israeli strikes on airports in Damascus and Aleppo, flights were transferred to the international airport in Latakia.
