Highlights: The County Administrative Board fishes as much as possible of the invasive Canadian char. Of the hundreds of kilos of fish caught, large quantities are thrown away. But when it was time for the day of the public meal, part of the catch went to the elderly in Krokom. On Thursday morning, they pulled up the largest char they had seen during the project – a real pig weighing between ten and twelve kilos. The goal is to reduce the population because the "Canadians" eat up large proportions of the Storsjö char.

Counteracts invasive species

During the summer, Anders Dahlén from the County Administrative Board has led the project to fish for the invasive Canadian trout. The goal is to reduce the population because the "Canadians" literally eat up large proportions of the Storsjö char.
