Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office, believes that the failure of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is due to the long supply of weapons from Western countries.


He said this in an interview with Channel 24.

According to him, in the fall of last year, Kiev "begged" for weapons from Western allies.

"It was slowly unfolding, the logistics were being worked out, there were a lot of approvals, and, in addition, we then went out of the delivery schedule," RIA Novosti quoted Podolyak as saying.

He added that the parties agreed to receive weapons within three weeks, but in fact they received them in two to three months.

"We are off schedule by 6-9 months," he concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, admitted that the plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were "out of schedule."
