Here the city library lends out hockey tickets – to Skellefteå AIK's home games

It is now possible to borrow hockey tickets at the library in Skellefteå. On Thursday, the first loan tickets for Skellefteå AIK's home game were released. David Björkqvist was first come, first served. "It's great fun. Especially for those who might not be able to afford it otherwise," he says.


Following a citizen's proposal, the City Library in Skellefteå starts lending out hockey tickets when Skellefteå AIK has a home game in SHL and SDHL.

To borrow tickets, you need to have a library card. It is not possible to reserve or book online.

And there are future plans to expand ticket lending to other events.

"We've talked about football when it's the season. Then we've talked about theatre and music," says Eva Abrahamsson, Acting Head of the Culture and Library Department.
