Gais took their fifth straight victory in the Superettan in a very convincing way. They defeated Trelleborg away with a whopping 6-0 and are second in the series with four games left to play.
In the first half, Gais scored three goals in just seven minutes. First Axel Norén put them in the lead, then star Julius Lindberg added a penalty before Axel Henriksson made it 3-0.
"Trelleborg started well and we started a little shaky but after maybe 15 minutes we took hold of the game," Norén told Discovery+.
In the second half, they scored three more goals and now have a great opportunity to move up to the Allsvenskan. They are second in the series, four points ahead of in-form Utsikten, who admittedly have one game less played.
The first two teams in the Superettan go straight up, while the third place qualifies.
