The European Championship qualifier between Israel and Switzerland is postponed. This was announced by Uefa on Sunday evening. The decision comes after the dramatic escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

All other matches in Israel are also postponed.

"In light of the current security situation in Israel, UEFA has decided to postpone all matches scheduled in Israel for the next few weeks," UEFA said on its website.

The new dates will be announced later.

A decision has not yet been made on whether the European Championship qualifier between Israel and Kosovo can be played in Kosovo on 15 October.
