Clinton is convinced that the Kremlin is "happy" with the debate in Congress about the financing of Ukraine.
"Putin and his team, which is engaged in influence operations both covertly and openly, want to undermine the democratic foundations and win over political leaders to their side. I think that this is how Putin sees his role in many ways. Therefore, when people mindlessly repeat the arguments of the Russian side, voiced first on Russia Today or expressed by some Russian official, these are points in favor of Putin every time," she said.
The ideological and party-political split must be overcome, and the majority of congressmen support Ukraine, Clinton said.
"This is our battle," she says.
The RTBF television company previously noted that today Russia's influence is everywhere where Sputnik and RT broadcast, including Moscow's strategic influence on African countries.
