Moa Ilar has her sights set on the first podium of her career. After changing strength coaches and adjusting the staking, she feels confident for the upcoming season. "I think it's only a matter of time," says the 26-year-old.

After a heavy World Cup last spring where she was sent home after 35th place in the skiathlon, Moa Ilar is now looking forward to a new season.

One change for this season is that she has changed her strength coach.

"I've landed well there, developed a lot and found a sense of security. I felt that I had been stuck a little too long and wanted something new. It feels great now," she says.

At the highest level, the adjustments are small, but she feels that the technical details she is working on have had a big effect.

"Very big results"

– I work a lot with technical details that I have realized that I need to work on a little more. I have found many good keys that I find useful during all sessions. I've gotten very big results.

"It's a bit with the staking, finding a clearer drive forward. In the skate, it's about getting a clearer pressure under my body than outside me.

The 26-year-old has taken several good finishes in the World Cup, but lacks a podium.

She thinks that will change this year.

"The overall World Cup is my big goal. Then I also want to take my first podium. I feel like I'm very close and it's time to get up there. We'll see when that happens but I think it's only a matter of time.
