Highlights: The first match after the women's World Cup is to be played in Sweden. The match will take place at Gamla Ullevi. The players are yet to sign up for the tournament. Real Madrid's Athenea del Castillo is the only one not to have signed up. She has announced she is ending her World Cup career. The tournament starts on September 14. The final will be played at the Maracana in Madrid on September 21. The winner will be crowned the winner of the tournament on September 22.

World champion Spain has finally produced a squad for the Nations League opener against world number one Sweden at Gamla Ullevi. By all accounts, it will be a B team.

Despite the new head coach and the resignation of the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, the boycott continues when the first match after the nation's first gold on the women's side is to be played.

Spanish newspapers Marca and As write that the player boycott remains despite the fact that the Spanish federation RFEF has tried to reach an agreement with the players over the weekend. Therefore, according to the newspapers, it will be a Spanish B team that will compete in the Nations League.

Real Madrid's Athenea del Castillo is the only one from the World Cup squad not to support the boycott. Claudia Zornoza, another World Cup player who has not signed, announced last week that she has ended her national team career.

The squad will be released later today.
