Katyrin called for increased support for Russian SME manufacturing enterprises

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Russia Sergey Katyrin stated the need to strengthen support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are engaged in the production of products with maximum added value.


He made the corresponding statement on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF).

"It is on their development that state support should be concentrated, especially in the current economic conditions, when you need to learn how to produce all high-tech goods yourself," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying

He noted that small and medium-sized businesses are actively developing in Russia, but, according to various estimates, its share in production is 6-10%, while such a share in China, Asia, and European countries has not fallen below 20% in recent decades.
