Ruslan Davydov, acting head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, said that the country's foreign trade in January-August exceeded the level of 2022 in terms of physical volume.

He made the corresponding statement within the framework of the WEF.

"If we talk about the physical volumes of trade, they have even slightly exceeded last year's figures, and if we talk about the cost, then so far less than last year, because the cost of energy resources is lower," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

At the same time, Davydov clarified that Russia has about two-thirds of exports in value terms of energy resources.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced a significant increase in Russia's non-oil and gas revenues in August.
