Armand Duplantis chases world record in Brussels

Highlights: Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis sets new world record heights. The 23-year-old easily crosses heights of 5.62, 5.82 and 5.92. The Diamond League season in Europe concludes on Friday evening in Brussels. Sam Kendricks has also managed the latter height. The competition is still ongoing at the King Baudouin Stadium. The final will take place on Saturday night at the same venue. The winner will go on to compete in the World Cup final.

Then Armand Duplantis is aiming for new world record heights and the Swede has started by easily crossing the heights of 5.62, 5.82 and 5.92. – I feel good and that I have really high heights in me. So I'm going to go for it as hard as I can," Armand Duplantis said ahead of the race.


Armand Duplantis, who holds the pole vault world record of 6.22, entered the competition at the King Baudouin Stadium with an easy surpass of 5.62.

5.72 was a height the 23-year-old Swede stood over and then he hovered over first 5.82 and then 5.92.

Sam Kendricks has also managed the latter height.

The competition is ongoing.
