Medinsky: new history textbooks for grades 5-9 should be ready by September 2024

This was stated by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.

"According to our roadmap, by September 1 next year, new textbooks should be ready for all other classes - from the fifth to the ninth," TASS quoted the official as saying.

This information was confirmed by the head of the Ministry of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov.

"We have agreed with respected authors that over the next year textbooks for the fifth to ninth grades will be completed and prepared," RIA Novosti quoted Kravtsov as saying.

Earlier, Kravtsov said that by the end of 2025, state textbooks on all school subjects will be prepared.

Also, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that he had allocated money from the reserve fund, which will be spent on printing more than 2.5 million books for libraries in new regions of Russia.
