Andreas Kramer won GP race in Malmö

Andreas Kramer, 26, is showing great form ahead of the World Cup. On Saturday, the Swede was fastest of all at the 800-meter race in Malmö. – He does a nice race, says SVT Sports expert Alhaji Jeng.


Andreas Kramer is one of 30 Swedes who have been given the go-ahead for the World Cup. And the 26-year-old is showing good form ahead of the championship in Budapest. During Saturday's GP race in Malmö, Kramer won the 800-meter race with a time of 1:45,16.

"It was the kind of race I wanted," said Kramer, who was on the verge of being dislodged after being stepped on his heel during the race.

"It's a bit disturbing. I got a little out of rhythm and was almost about to fall. But I managed to straighten up and it didn't directly affect the time.

"Two weeks to perfect the form"

Now Kramer is looking forward to the World Cup.

"I have two weeks left to perfect my form," he says.

The World Cup in Budapest takes place between 19 and 27 August.
