David Nordström lives in the same house where the explosion occurred on Andra Långgatan on Monday. He was at home with the children when he heard the bang and ran downstairs to have a look. "I've lived here for 16 years, so it was very surreal to see the place this way. It felt like in a war," he says.
Shortly after 19 pm on Monday, police, ambulance and emergency services were alerted to a tavern on Andra Långgatan in Gothenburg after reports of an explosion.
David Nordström lives in the same house as the pub and heard the bang.
"At first I thought it was a van that had hit something and then you heard the glass, so I told a friend to look after the kids and ran downstairs," he says.
Glass splinters and smoke
When David Nordström arrives at the scene, he sees that no one is in immediate danger. He makes his way into the pub and meets the bartender.
"He was completely shocked. He stood and searched in the rubble.
