Investigative Committee: a criminal case has been opened on the fact of the attack on Milashina and Nemov in Chechnya

After the attack on journalist Elena Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov, a criminal case was opened in Chechnya. This was reported by the head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Chechen Republic, Vitaly Volkov, to the chairman of the department, Alexander Bastrykin.


"Based on the results of the check on the attack on Alexander Nemov and Elena Milashina, a criminal case has been initiated," the UK said.

Allegedly, a case has been opened for intentional infliction of moderate harm to health and causing minor harm to health.

Now the investigation team is conducting a set of investigative actions and operational-search measures to identify the persons involved in the crime.

Earlier, the former editor-in-chief of the radio station "Echo of Moscow" Alexei Venediktov * said that Milashina and Nemov are in one of the Moscow hospitals. Unknown persons beat them when they arrived in Grozny for the verdict in the case of Zarema Musayeva.

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said he would look into what had happened, and instructed to find the attackers.
