By using energy engineers who map where and when the company loses the most energy and then take the measures suggested, a lot of kilowatt hours can be saved. - Over a three-year period, we have reduced electricity consumption by 10-20 percent, says Markus Gunnerfjäll, CEO at Anva tubes and components in Eskilstuna.

The company works with contract manufacturing for large Swedish export companies and when the price of electricity increases, it has consequences for the business.

- The situation is critical.

I think we paid in the variable price over SEK 3 kWh in December and if we look historically, the price was 35-40 öre.

But that is a thing of the past, says Markus Gunnerfjäll.

An ongoing process

The company has previously carried out surveys of electricity use and has since invested and taken measures to reduce electricity consumption.

- The entire work to reduce energy use is an ongoing process, says Markus Gunnerfjäll.
