Dmitry Kalashnikov, head of the Republican Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination of the DPR Ministry of Health, said earlier that more than 8,600 people had died in the republic since 2014 as a result of hostilities.
According to him, the dead are also being counted in the liberated territories.
