In France, more than 250 thousand cases of COVID-19 per day are expected in January

French Minister of Health Olivier Veran said that the rate of spread of coronavirus in the republic may exceed 250 thousand new cases per day at the beginning of next year.


“By the beginning of January, we can expect more than 250 thousand cases a day,” TASS quoted Veran as saying.

Veran also said that France does not exclude the introduction of a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Earlier, French Prime Minister Jean Casteks said that the French authorities have prepared a bill to replace sanitary passes for vaccines, it may come into force on January 15.

On December 25, a record 104 thousand cases of COVID-19 infection per day were recorded in France.
