Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov called the EU's claims against Moscow for € 290 billion for the damage suffered by European countries due to the import substitution program in the Russian Federation as big moral problems.

“The EU, which has introduced economic sanctions against Russia, is seeking compensation from Russia for its countermeasures (import substitution program).

He accuses Moscow of "illegal discrimination" against European goods!

Can you believe it?

Big moral problems, "Ulyanov wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, as reported by the Izvestia newspaper, the European Union demanded € 290 billion from Russia through an appeal to the World Trade Organization.

The EU's claims relate to three measures taken by Russia: "discriminatory assessment of public procurement bids", prior authorization requirements and national quotas for public procurement.

Senator Olga Kovitidi, in an interview with RT, noted that such a requirement is "the EU's recognition of the erroneousness" of the sanctions policy against Russia, which caused "irreparable damage" to the European economic community.
