In Ulan-Ude, the emergency regime of regional significance was removed, which was introduced earlier due to the accident at CHPP-1. This was reported by the press service of the government of the republic.

“It was decided to switch the emergency mode of the regional level of response due to the fire at CHPP-1 to the emergency mode of municipal significance in connection with the stabilization of the situation,” the message says.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Government Commission of the Republic of Buryatia on the prevention and elimination of emergencies.

On December 23, at TPP-1 in Ulan-Ude, a short circuit occurred with a fire in the power wires in the cable compartment supplying the control panel.

This led to the shutdown of four heating boilers and a turbine generator “in conditions of low ambient temperatures in the city, down to -30 ° C,” the UK said.

The environmental prosecutor's office organized a check on the fact of the accident.

Later it became known that the specialists restored the power supply to the fuel supply of the power plant in Ulan-Ude.
