50 fines for disturbing music in police region In the middle of two months

Since 1 July this year, the police can issue a fine for anyone who plays loud and disturbing music from, for example, a car. In two months, 50 fines of this type have been handed out in the Mitt police district, which includes Gävleborg.


It is the Public Prosecutor who has decided that the police should be able to issue fines on the spot to the person or persons who disturb the surroundings with loud music.

A total of 470 fines have been issued in the country, according to the police.

The offense is classified as annoying behavior by making noise in a public place by playing music.

End up in third place

During the summer months of July and August, 50 fines for annoying behavior were issued in the police region Mitt, which includes Gävleborg. Thus, the police region ends up in third place when it comes to issued fines for annoying behavior, in comparison with the other police regions. Bergslagen police region ends up at the top with 281 issued fines.
